im not sure if i can post on this since its technically not my workout log, but i ran a 14miler on wed (im doing a marathon in nov) and according to signage on the trail i ran it at a sub8min/mile pace. not sure if the signs are wrong or what, but if its right im superexcited!
sweet!
yeah I can barely run a sub 8 mile.
Fasting + getting sick + working crazy hours = no workout for me. Luckily I'm feeling better and Ramadan is finally over so hopefully I'll be able to get back into my routine. I ran a mile to get a sense of how much ground I lost.

9/20/09: 1 mile: 7:28 (w/1min warmup + cooldown)
that's really good arif esp considering ramadan. once you're able to eat during the day im sure your time will go right back down. I need a track nearby to time myself... anyone want to come build one for me?
I built one for myself using google maps. :) Although i'm not sure how much street detail they have available for France.
its not too bad in the city/town, but not so great around my house. ill try it though! good idea!
usatf.org has a good route-mapping thingy, but i think it's only set up for the US. you can download google earth. you can map anything on google earth, it doesn't have to be on roads.
livestrong has a pretty awesome workout site. I used their map to make my running loops. It's powered by google, but for some reason worked way better for me that googlemaps. Anyway, I now know my 5mile loop, 6mile loop, and 3 different places where I can do a mile loop :)
alright everybody congrats to v!

7th in her age group out of 91 and 281 overall out of 2500 PLUS she qualified for the world championship marathon, the Boston marathon!!! all this with virtually no marathon-specific training. OMG
oh cool and if you look at the splits she passed two people in her age group after 6 miles
Freakin bA! Didn't you originally set a goal of 3:45ish? Nearly 15 minutes faster, sweet! Also, congrats on beating your (now former) teammate Ashley! :D

So are you finally done with this running business?
PS dad says you have 2 years to register for boston, and that 2010 registration is already closed anyway
damn. i was starting to think i should just go ahead and do it this year. but i did look it up and found my time holds for next year too. i'll have to get on that early.

also, 47th female overall.
noice
v i think that means 47th in sex. its ok tho, there were a lot of good competitors ;D
i know. i justed thought i'd point it out anyways.

oh, and you're sooooo funny.
78th funniest male overall.
Forgot to post this when I got it.. but like 2 days after we started P90X, I got this fortune cookie at lunch:

"Remember three months from this date. Good things are in store for you."

How do the Chinese do it?!

Summary post of our p90x progress:
- Of 3 weeks and 4 days of workout time, Matt has missed 1 workout (yoga); not sure if Arif has missed any
- Matt has lost somewhere close to 8-9 pounds
- Arif has lost upwards of 9-10 pounds from his max weight (I think?)
- Everyone has bulging muscles
- We now have 3 pull-up bars distributed throughout the house, begging any passers by to pump out a few reps

Anythign else I missed?
i started back at la fitness (that's french for "the fitness") just now since september, and i got a little light headed
