I Do Believe! :: Club409

ITT we shall recount the myriad stories about our friends that are gullablity, innocence and naiveness incarnate. I'll begin with a story about the person who is the inspiration for this thread, and who's credulity shall never cease to bemuse me: Steph.

So anyways, V, Drew, Steph and I were all waiting patiently to have our buns hand-tossed to us at Miss Katie's Sideboard Restaurant this past weekend when conversation happened upon an infamous acronym who's meaning until very recently eluded our precious Stephanie.

"I just assumed it stood for I Do Believe" she remarked. Hilarity ensued.

"When did you find out what it really meant?" I inquired between laughs.

"Yesterday when V told me." Bwwwahhahahaha

I'm not sure when the acronym was first coined, but the earliest reference on club409 dates back to July 17, 2006, just over two years ago!

It's only out of love that I tell this story steph! :D

For a less verbose story, freshman year I told Mike I was from Jamaica and he believed me for about a month! He claims he had no reason to doubt me, but srsly, a month? Haha. :)

my friend korey from (Catholic) high school had us believing that he was jewish for the better part of a year.. i'm not sure who all was wise to him, but i sure wasn't.
