Apple iPad introduced today. It's entry price is $499 which isn't too bad. If you want 3g you pay $130 + $14.99/$30 month for 250mb/unlimited with(hooray!) no contract.
I don't think its a game changer but it will certainly make them some money and get their products into more homes. Anxious to see how many units they sell. Bye bye Kindle

So my company is switching from diners club to amex on May 24th, and I'm pretty sure I'll lose my reward points if I don't redeem them before the switch. I have 81737 pts, and I can't decide on how to use them. Any suggestions?
Our yard looks like shit after we had that pipe fixed so I'm thinking about doing this: Great American Days Lawn Care Service Once a Month for 6 Months, then maybe $275 in best buy gift cards.
You think it's worth it to go for $530 for 6 months of lawn service? Maybe I should just go with $800 in best buy gift cards?

I think the lawn service is a great way to spend those points, and I dont even live there anymore. Assuming they do a good job
Went with the lawn service, 4 filet mignon's from omaha steaks, $125 in best buy giftcards, and $50 for bonefish grill (for my parents). :)
Yeah I don't know what's included in the 6month service, and I couldn't really find anything about it online, but hopefully they can fix our lawn. If not, oh well, it ain't my money! :)

I suspect they will be available somehow in the US, maybe on thinkgeek or something. Can't wait to throw a banana peel in front of your RC car.

Rachel and I are enjoying our georgia cruise cards, and if you ever drive in the area of 400, I highly recommend one. If you buy one right now, they cost $10, but then you get $10 credited to your account, so you only pay for the tax.
quote from that article:
"...the bonds that paid for Ga. 400 will be paid off July 1, 2011, and the tolls can come down as promised."
I wonder if they'll actually take down the tolls..?

AT&T MicroCells now available everywhere. This is the thing I was interested in a while back when I was on AT&T; basically it uses your internet connection to supplement their poor network coverage. And you pay them for this! It seems like you should get a discounted bill for using one of these.
I guess this really belongs in the notable news thread, but I really would like to have a bionic cat.. so, here we are
I don't really want one, but I did predict about two years ago that as computers get smaller and phones get bigger we're quickly approaching one device that we buy instead of both a laptop/netbook and a phone. I'm not a huge fan of BT headsets, but I might be inclined to get one for the X bc it's going to be awkward holding that massive thing up to my face, haha.
i'm waiting for the completely-in-ear bluetooth headset.. so it'll just look like you've got a little hearing aid. yay bone conduction!
