Old, new, & future. Let's hear about them here.

I'll start out with a review of the Halo movie's script. I've seen some people saying it's legit. I stopped reading it when it started to discuss plot details. But I think this movie has a lot going for it.

And also, if we do a spring break road trip, whoever is in the car with me will be listening to the complete I Love Bees series. This is non-negotiable.
Weatherman: 8 out of of 10

discussion of camel toes is always a plus. My kind of humor.

And also where do people want to go for Spring Break 2006?
Back to the movies discussion, I want to give a shout out to Serenity. I saw it three times, One prescreening (4 hours away, thursday night, work the next day, priceless) One opening night, and once at a discount Movie Tavern over a pitcher of beer.

It rocked each and every time.

I dunno if its still in the theaters, but if it is you should go see it. If not, purchase the sunovabitch when it comes out on DVD. There really is no option. Joss Whedon created a masterpiece of fun.
i say ditto for Serenity; it was super good. I might have to start watching Firefly (the show on which the movie was based), except that i dont really watch TV.

Who's excited about Aeon Flux? I think it will make me blow a justicy load.
Anybody want to go see Jarhead this weekend?
I am down.
i watched firefly last night. yes, all of it. it was rawkincredoawse, except river never actually kicked any ass (well, once). you could tell they were saving it for season two. Bah. :p oh well, at least her legs are well featured in the movie :-D
firefly rocks, cept the few parts where they go overboard with beating you over the head with the western in space style. overall i give it two thumbs up and highly recommend it if you enjoyed the movie
Mike,

Yeah, youre not the first to watch them all in one night. I watched most my first night, so Im not quite that hard core. But id say half the people I introduced to firefly couldnt stop.
the Firefly series is playing on Sci-Fi starting tonight
Firefly had been playing in BR for the last couple months.
Roger Ebert reviews The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Because some people I know are kinda anal about spoilering,

One does not simply premise into Mordor!

Anyone up for going before the party?
I went and saw The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It followed the book pretty well. I was right about Liam Neeson though. Aslan should've been Brian Cox. I say go see it.
And I'm kinda glad Peter Jackson's $300 million production of King Kong isn't making nearly enough money as it was expected to. It's like they think they can spend $300 million and Peter Jackson and expect people to show up. I'm finding myself more at odds with Peter Jackson as events unfold. I'll be keeping my eye on him.
The new Quentin film "Hostel" comes out Jan. 6th. I'll be back in town on the 7th (late) if anyone wants to go. It's his first single-word film (that I know of), so it might suck. I only caught the tail end of a preview on tv, so I don't really know what it's about, but it's qt...so a blood-smothered thriller starting two-thirds of the way into the movie. Adding some katanas, drugs, and uma just about sums it up. I still want to see it.
I'm down. You atlanta kids better be ready, I'm bringing it, Big Easy style.
I'll be there! And I'll bring it...Chickamauga style, what then?
Then Angry David the Gnome is going to get Mythical on your ass.
Is Bill really coming!? And is it really QT's movie, or is he just taking credit like with Hero? (or flying daggers? one of those Mandarins)
